FIREFOX FOR WINDOWS 8

Firefox Metro Preview is a browser that features a whole new design for Windows 8's Modern (Metro) UI.

With the official release of Windows 8 around the corner, Mozilla is scrambling to complete its version of Firefox Metro Preview. The interface is completely redesigned and has taken some designed cues from Google Chrome like its rounded tabs instead of Firefox's traditional squared off corners.

The first thing users will notice about this version of Firefox is its Windows 8 Modern UI inspired home page with your most frequently visited sites and bookmarks. The interface is intuitive and feels like it's part of the operating system.

Firefox Metro Preview also features a new tab bar at the top that shows live thumbnails of the sites you have open. This is impressive and goes with the Windows 8 'live tiles' feel. The tabs are also big enough to manipulate by touch without having to be too precise. Firefox Metro Preview feels like much more of a complete product than Google Chrome for the Modern UI.

Firefox Metro Preview's search is also integrated into Windows now so users can quickly bring up the search field by pressing Windows + F. This works for Google results so you get instant suggestions for completing search terms. Bookmarks also get a major overhaul. Bookmarks will no longer be stored in folders but in lists. No bookmark will go unsorted in Firefox Metro Preview!

To enter a URL in Firefox Metro Preview, access the address bar by swiping up from the bottom bezel. If you're using a mouse and keyboard, just right click the mouse. If you're sick of using the Modern UI version, you can use it as a normal desktop application, which will look exactly the same as Firefox 15.

Overall, Firefox Metro Preview is a solid build with many great touch friendly features. Once the bugs are hammered out, it'll be a great browser for Windows 8.

GOOGLE CHROME FOR WINDOWS 8

Google Chrome makes its debut on Windows 8, showing Google's commitment to providing a rich Metro-style browser for the new operating system.

This very early developer version of Google Chrome gives us a glimpse into the future of a touch-friendly Chrome. To install this version, users will have to go to the developer channel and download Google Chrome from there. Make sure to check the box for "Make Google Chrome my default browser" to enable its Metro interface.

This developer version of Google Chrome for Metro will immediately be familiar. It looks almost identical to the desktop version of Google Chrome but simplifies things with a bigger menu button on the top right. From there, you can access all of the preferences and settings that you would get from the desktop version of Chrome. This is where Google Chrome for Metro begins to show its sloppiness. The settings buttons are bigger, but aren't as touch-friendly as Internet Explorer for Metro.

One of the best features of Google Chrome for Metro is full Adobe Flash support. As with all other variations of Google Chrome, Flash is baked right into the browser so no additional downloads are needed. Internet Explorer for Metro, on the other hand, features a watered-down version of Flash that only works on certain sites.

Google's developers have a long way to go to make Google Chrome for Metro feel like a native application. As it stands, this is a very early port of Chrome that hasn't put much thought into design.

FEATURES  :

Ø Speedy performance

Ø Full featured

Ø Full Adobe Flash installed

It is the most widely used BitTorrent client outside China (where Xunlei is more popular.[16]) The "µ"(Greek letter "mu") in its name comes from the SI prefix "micro-", referring to the program's small memory footprint: the program was designed to use minimal computer resources while offering functionality comparable to larger BitTorrent clients such as Vuze or BitComet. The program has received consistently good reviews for its feature set, performance, stability, and support for older hardware and versions of Windows

INTERNET EXPLORER 10 OFFLINE SETUP

Internet Explorer 10 continues to provide key security and performance features from earlier versions of the browser. For example, tools like the SmartScreen filter help protect corporate customers from socially engineered malware. Hardware acceleration ensures that web apps are fast, and Internet Explorer 10 supports Internet Explorer 9, Internet Explorer 8, Internet Explorer 7, and Quirks compatibility view.

In addition, Internet Explorer 10 supports modern standards like HTML5, CSS3, and SVG to give corporate developers the ability to build more powerful web apps. The underlying platform is fully interoperable across both browsing experiences available in Internet Explorer 10, enabling developers to write the same markup for both experiences. Internet Explorer is also plug-in free. Line-of-business applications that require legacy ActiveX controls can use Internet Explorer for the desktop.

New  features :

This section describes some of the new features in Internet Explorer 10, which are most important to IT professionals, including browser launch settings, web standards, and enhanced protected mode.

Removed  Tools :

The following tools have been removed for Internet Explorer 10 :

Ø Internet Explorer Maintenance (IEM). Enabled administrators to define an Internet Explorer configuration as part of the Group Policy Object (GPO). Windows 8 with Internet Explorer 10 deprecates IEM in favor of a more robust tool called Group Policy Preferences. Administrators can also use the Internet Explorer Administration Kit (IEAK) to configure specific settings.

Ø Profile Manager. Helped administrators update settings and maintain the custom Internet Explorer package created using IEAK. Now, IEAK and Group Policy Preferences are the recommended solutions for customizing Internet Explorer packages and managing Internet Explorer preferences. Profile Manager-related tasks that still exist in new locations.

Ø Update browser configuration settings. When you run IEAK 10, it creates an .ins file with the values for settings that you customized. If you run the wizard again, you can import the .ins file and the wizard will populate the wizard pages with your previous customized values. On the File Locations page, click Advanced Options, and then navigate to path of the .ins file that you want to use. Continue to run the wizard and change settings, as needed.

Ø Move an automatic configuration file. You can specify an .ins file to be used for updating user settings. On the Automatic Configuration page of the wizard, type the URL for an .ins file.

CHROME OFFLINE SETUP

Google Chrome is a freeware web browser developed by Google that uses the WebKit layout engine until version 27 and, with the exception of its iOS releases, from version 28 and beyond the WebKit fork Blink. It was released as a beta version for Microsoft Windows on September 2, 2008, and as a stable public release on December 11, 2008. As of April 2013[update], according to StatCounter, Google Chrome has a 39% worldwide usage share of web browsers making it the most widely used web browser in the world. Net Applications, however, indicates that Chrome is only third when it comes to the size of its user base, behind Internet Explorer and Firefox.
FEATURES  :

Ø Google Chrome aims to be secure, fast, simple and stable. There are extensive differences from its peers in Chrome's minimalistic user interface, which is atypical of modern web browsers. For example, Chrome does not render RSS feeds. One of Chrome's strengths is its application performance and JavaScript processing speed, both of which were independently verified by multiple websites to be the swiftest among the major browsers of its time.

Ø Chrome allows users to synchronize their bookmarks and settings across all devices with the browser installed by sending and receiving data through a chosen Google Account, which in turn updates all signed-in instances of Chrome

Ø Chrome allows users to synchronize their bookmarks and settings across all devices with the browser installed by sending and receiving data through a chosen Google Account, which in turn updates all signed-in instances of Chrome

Ø The private browsing feature called Incognito mode prevents the browser from permanently storing any history information or cookies from the websites visited. Incognito mode is similar to the private browsing feature in other web browsers. Chrome was the second browser to implement this feature, after Safari.

Ø A multi-process architecture is implemented in Chrome  where, by default, a separate process is allocated to each site instance and plugin. This procedure is termed process isolation, and it prevents tasks from interfering with each other, raising security and stability.

Ø Chrome Web Store allows users to install web applications as extensions to the browser, although most of these function simply as links to popular web pages and/or games, but some of the apps like Springpad do provide extra features like offline access. The themes and extensions have also been tightly integrated into the new store, allowing users to search the entire catalog of Chrome extras.
